HORNO DE CÁÑAMO / HEMP OVEN

CONCUD (TERUEL)

Este fue el primer proyecto en el que colaboré con los arquitectos Camilla Mileto y Fernando Vegas López-Manzanares. Ambos son profesores de la asignatura de Restauración del Departamento de Composición Arquitéctonia y del Máster Oficial en Conservación del Patrimonio
Arquitectónico de la Escuela Técnica de Valencia, además de dirigir parte del Instituto de Restauración del Patrimonio de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Han realizado un gran número de proyectos y estudios de restauración en la provincia de Aragón, España. Concretamente en este, se encargaron del estudio previo, proyecto básico y de ejecución de la restauración.



This was the first project I colaborated with the Architects Camilla Mileto and Fernando Vegas López-Manzanares. Both of them are teachers of the Restauration subject from the Architectural Composition Department and of the Oficial Master in Architectural Heritage Conservation of the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Valencia. In addition, they direct part of the Institute of Heritage Restoration of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. They have done a number of restoration projects and studies in the province of Aragón, Spain. Specifically in this one, they made the previous study, basic project and ejecutation project of the restoration.

- Situación / Situation:

Esta situado al Sur de la provincia de Teruel, a unos 6 Km
aproximadamente de la capital, con acceso por la N-234 en el Km 123
dirección Zaragoza. Concud linda con los terminos municipales de
Celadas, Caudé, San Blas, Tortajada, Villalba Baja y Teruel.



Is located in the south of the province of Teruel, about 6 km around the capital, with access from the N-234 at Km 123 towards Zaragoza. Concud borders the municipalities of 
"Celadas", "Caudé", "San Blas", "Tortajada", "Villalba Baja" and "Teruel".

  

Concud esta enclavado en el valle formado por el rio la Madre, refugiandose asi del cierzo (viento frio que viene del norte).
Poseé una pequeña zona de regadio muy fertil, el
resto del termino municipal son cultivos de secano en su mayoria y una
zona de monte.

Concud is nestled in the valley formed by the river Mother, protected by it from the cold north wind. It possesses a small area of ​​irrigated fertile, the rest of the municipality are mostly rainfed and a mountain area.

-Historia / History:

Concud ya existia en la epoca romana y su nombre era Urbiaca por
donde pasaba la calzada romana Daimiel-Sagunto-Zaragoza. Al estar tan
cerca de Teruel nuestro pueblo se vio involucrado
desgraciadamente en la guerra civil española, con diversas invasiones de
los dos bandos, primero por el bando republicano y luego por el bando
fascista. Esta provoco varias victimas humanas, y casi la total
destrucción del poblado, en la guerra la mayoria de la gente se
refugiaba en las cuevas las cuales se ven desde el mismo pueblo.

Concud already existed in Roman times and his name was "Urbiaca" through which passed the Roman road "Daimiel-Sagunto-Zaragoza". Because of his proximity to Teruel our people unfortunately was involved in the Spanish Civil War, with various invasions of the two sides, first by the Republican side and then the fascist side. This provoked a number of human casualties, and almost total destruction of the village, in the war, most people took refuge in the caves which are from the same village.

 

El 25 de abril de 2007 se publicó en el Boletín Oficial de Aragón la
Orden de 26 de marzo de 2007 del Departamento de Educación, Cultura y
Deporte por la que se declaran tres hornos para el secado de cáñamo, un
cubierto y una balsa, situados en Concud (Teruel), como Bienes
Catalogados del Patrimonio Cultural Aragonés

On
April 25, 2007 was published in the Official Gazette of the Order of
Aragon March 26, 2007 the Department of Education, Culture and Sport by
declaring three kilns for drying hemp, a shed and a pond located in Concud (Teruel), Recorded as Assets of Cultural Heritage Aragonés .
