What is architecture? Why I chose to become an architect? What I would like to specialize and work when I will be one? These are the questions that Salvador Lara asked us in the first class of the subject "Introduction to Architecture" in the first course of the degree. Full of ignorance, we all write our answers on paper and deliver it to him... Salvador is very straightforward and can be intimidating, especially when he provoked the new students , he is the kind of teachers that  you will love him or you don’t like him, but certainly he's not going to be remembered as one more. That day, more than 100 students were in class, and I was one of the students he blushed. The reason? My answer to the third question. Most students gave him a typical, generic and unspecified anwers. I would not formulate correctly as I referred to the cultural concept rather than the architecture one, but I made reference to heritage preservation. Salvador works in that field and wanted to know

¿Qué es arquitectura? ¿Por qué he elegido ser arquitecta? ¿En qué me gustaría especializarme y trabajar cuando lo sea?  Estas son las preguntas que nos planteaba Salvador Lara en la primera clase de "Introducción a la Arquitectura" del primer curso de la carrera. Llenos de ignorancia, todos escribimos nuestras respuestas en un papel y se lo entregamos... Salvador es muy directo y puede llegar a intimidar, especialmente cuando desafía a los recién matriculados, es de la clase de profesores que, o te encanta, o no te hace ninguna gracia, pero desde luego no pasa a ser recordado como uno más. Ese día, de entre los más de 100 alumnos en clase, yo fui una de las personas a las que sonrojó. ¿El motivo? mi respuesta a la tercera pregunta. La mayoría de alumnos dieron respuestas típicas, genéricas, sin especificar. Yo no la formulé correctamente ya que hice referencia al concepto cultural, en vez de al arquitectónico, pero hice referencia a la restauración del patrimonio. Salva
